Sustainability doesn’t just start with the end product – it is an integral part of every single step in our production. At pod, we consistently use environmentally friendly materials such as cardboard and corrugated cardboard. These consist mainly of recycled waste paper and can easily be returned to the recycling cycle after use. 🌿 But what actually happens to the paper waste that is generated during the production of your displays and packaging?
The answer: it is recycled directly by us – efficiently, cleanly and sustainably. 💪

A look behind the scenes
Paper waste is generated in everyday production – whether it is from punching, cutting or processing the materials. We use modern pressing systems to ensure that this recyclable material does not go to waste:
- Baling press: This is where the punching waste produced when the display parts are removed from the punched sheet ends up.
- Container press: In this press, we collect larger paper scraps and cardboard that accumulate during packaging or delivery, for example.
Both presses ensure that the waste paper is collected in a space-saving and clean manner – ready for the next step in the recycling cycle. 🌀
Regionally recycled – with return potential 😉
The pressed paper bales are regularly collected by regional recycling companies and taken to the waste paper yard. A new cycle begins there: the material is processed and can soon find its way back into our production as new cardboard or corrugated cardboard.
Why is this so important to us?
Because we at pod are convinced: Sustainability is not a trend, but a responsibility.
Through our internal recycling processes:
✅ we conserve natural resources,
✅ avoid unnecessary waste,
✅ and reduce our ecological footprint.
