Are you looking for a goods-carrying display that can be shipped erected on a pallet? You will then be confronted with many different, similar-sounding terms, which can be confusing, especially for display newcomers. Below we explain the differences and clearly define the terms.
Pallet displays - shipping-optimized dispatch
The term “pallet displays” covers all displays that are shipped on any type and size of pallet. These include 1:1 pallet displays or Euro pallet displays, which have the format of a Euro pallet (800 x 1200 mm) and can therefore be shipped cost-effectively by truck. There are also half-pallet displays (size corresponds to 1/2 of a Euro pallet), quarter-pallet displays (1/4 of a Euro pallet) and eighth-pallet displays (1/8 of a Euro pallet). The latter pallet displays can be transported in groups of 2, 4 or 8 on Euro pallets.
Quarter pallet displays
Quarter-pallet displays are the most popular type of pallet display, as many areas of the retail trade provide sales space for this format. We offer this type of display in various designs, e.g. as a shelf or stacking tray display. Different types of pallets can be placed under the quarter pallet display, including a custom-made wooden pallet or a CHEP exchange pallet.
CHEP displays
The term “CHEP displays” is also commonly used in the industry as a synonym for quarter pallet displays, but must actually be distinguished from this. CHEP displays are characterized by the eye-catching blue pallet on which they are transported. The blue CHEP pallet is an exchange pallet developed by the company of the same name and made available to its customers and retailers via an exchange system. They are available for all sizes of the above-mentioned pallet displays and are one of the most widely used pallet types.
